Hyderabad, Nov 18

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would fight politically and legally against the reported decision of the Union Human Resources Minister to introduce reservation for Muslims in premier IITs and IIMs in the country, according to Party Vice-President, Mr Venkaiah Naidu.

Mr Naidu told media persons here that a proposal to start an Islamic Bank exclusively for the members of the Muslim community was before the Reserve ?Bank of India.

He charged the Congress with “playing cheap politics through divisive and dangerous politics” even after the court verdicts in AP and UP were against the appeasing decisions of the governments in these states. The implications of such moves would be grave in the backdrop of partition of the country on communal lines, he warned.
