BJP to begin poll campaign today
PALLAKKAD: THE Bharatiya Janata Party will kick off its national-level election campaign from Palakkad on Saturday coinciding with the meet of the workers of the Palakkad and Alathur Lok Sabha constituencies at the Municipal town hall which will be inaugurated by the Election Committee chairman Venkaiah Naidu.
BJP state committee member N Sivarajan, district president Sivadas and general secretary C Krishnakumar told mediapersons here on Friday that the party had decided to kick off the campaign from South India and Palakkad district was chosen as the venue for the purpose.
They said that the office-bearers of the newly constituted 12 Assembly committees will be announced at the meet.
