Bharat is a Hindu Nation and I am a Hinduized Christian: Goa Deputy Chief Minister

published on July 27, 2014

Goa Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’ Souza has stated that Bharat is a Hindu nation and that he is a Hinduized Christian. His statement comes in wake of the statement recently made by Goa Minister Deepak Dhavalikar, which was given a controversial colouring by mainstream media. It is at this juncture that Francic D’ Souza entered the picture, in support of Dhavalikar.

Bharat is a Hindu nation. This is Hindustan and all Bharatiyas in Hindustan are Hindus. I am a Christianized Hindu. How the land can be made a Hindu nation is irrelevant here, because there is no need to freshly create a Hindu nation out of Bharat,” stated D’ Souza, one of D’Souza, one of the seniormost minority members of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Goa.

The Deputy Chief Minister also stated his confidence in Bharat developing as a Hindu Rashtra under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. D’Souza insisted that Dhavalikar had no “clarity in his mind” because India was already a Hindu nation.
