Noose tightens over 2G scam; Nira Radia quizzed for second consecutive days

 For the second consecutive day, the Enforcement Directorate has quizzed controversial lobbyist Nira Radia over her alleged role in the multi billion 2G scam that has created a storm in the Parliament recently. Nira Radia name figures over her close proximity to the Telecom Minister A Raja and in various telephonic conversations that has been traced to her.

 Radia was asked to furnish all her financial details including her personal bank details as well as of many companies that she runs. The in-depth questioning which began since Thursday is continuing when report last came in.

 Also under the scanner is the name of two journalists where the ED had found huge financial transaction from Radia account abroad to these two journalists. One is said to be a lady reporter working with an English TV channel who was instrumental in exposing the CWG scam.

 The money transacted from abroad is said to have been utilised by the reporter to purchase a flat in the posh South Extension locality of Delhi. The other journalist is a head of TV channels whose name already figures in the telephone tapping case.
