In a reply to one of the reader of Kerala Kaumudi through the right to information act, Devaswom Board disclosed the following financial information
TDB (Travancore Devaswom Board) Commissioner has 4 accounts with Dhanalakshmi Bank, Nanthencode Branch. The balance as of 2009 , March 31 is as below for major accounts.
General Fund – Rs 2,59,70,673
Surplus Fund -Â Rs 2,72,00168
Donor Suite -Â Â Â Rs 28,78,980
Still our Government and Devaswom Board wants to conduct ‘Bucket Collection’ from devotees for providing basic infrastructure to the temples!
