Ayyappa Seva Sangham general secretary N Sreenivasan passed away
PATHANAMTHITTA: Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham general secretary N Sreenivasan, 75, passed away following cardiac ailment at Tiruchi in Tamil Nadu at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday.
Functioning as the general secretary of the Sangham for the past 15 years, Sreenivasan was instrumental in spreading activities of the Sangham across the country and abroad.
Having close association with the Sangham for the past 35 years, Sreenivasan, who was born in Punalur and settled with his family in Madurai, launched round-the-clock free food distribution (annadanam) for the pilgrims at the Sangham facility at Sannidhanam.
He leaves behind wife Chellamma, son Manikantan and daughter Latha.
The cremation will be held in Madurai on Sunday.
Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham vice-president D Vijyakumar, secretary Rajeev Konni, Annadanam committee secretary Tiruchi Sreedhar, in separate messages, condoled the death of Sreenivasan.
