The SFI goons who have been responsible for the loss of vision of ABVP activist and Guruvayur Sree Krishna College union chairman KS Sanoop, have been directed by the Court to pay a compensation of Rs 4.20 lakh. The order was issued by Chavakkad sub Court. Four SFI activists Sainith, Shajeer, Mukesh and Aneesh, accused in the case had earlier been awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment, against which they had sought bail.

In 2008, Sanoop was brutally attacked by SFI activists while he was writing his exam, which resulted in total loss of vision in left eye. The dastardly act was the Left’s response to the victory of ABVP in the college elections.
