Chennai, February 4, 2008 – In a temple of Pallavaram, Chennai Metropolitan City, the Idol of Mariamman stolen and the Hundi broken and money looted.

What the police say about it:

“Muthu Mariamman Koil is situated in the second Street of Sakti Nagar, Pallavaram. Some unidentified persons, came there the day before yesterday during the night and broken the street light in front of the temple. They had broken the grill gate and entered the temple. Then they had stolen the Bronze Idol and the money in the hundi. The valie of the Idol is Rs. 60,000/- and as the hundi was not opened for the last 12 years, it might have contained cash more than Rs. 10,000/- As the temple authorities have give complaint, the Police has been investigating the case”.

At the same time, Karunanidhi was listing out how many LTTE “Tigers” were arrested during his reign of Tamilnadu! He could not explain as to how all of sudden only during his rule, they come in more numbers in Tamilnadu. Any way, when the Police has been busy with prowling “Tigers”, who cares for “Mariamman”, her Idol, the Hundi and all, that too, in the land of atheists and the anti—Hindus?
