C. Surendran is a 38 year old carpenter hailing from Calicut and he is an active Hindu Aikyavedi worker.  As usual, this year also he went on pilgrimage to Sabarimala during the Mandala season. On his return, the private bus he was traveling collided with a tripper lorry and in that accident Surendran ‘s left arm was almost cut off. Surendran is now admitted to Elite hospital at Trichur where he is undergoing treatment. As per information provided by the hospital, an operation to save his severed arm would cost  around  3 lakhs rupees.  Hindu Aikyavedi managed to collect about Rs.50,000/- and the amount has been given to Surenderan.  But to conduct the operation, balance amount of 2.5 lakhs also urgently required.
