AICC dictates AICC

Mumbai:From a list of Nine Christians submitted by All India Christian council (AICC) to All India Congress Committee (AICC)for the upcoming Maharashtra elections, Congress decided to field two representatives Indian Christian council.

Ruling Congress party had always boasted about their Secular character and leave no chance to stamp BJP as a communal party is now openly taking dictates from Christian council.

Janet D’Souza and an advocate, Gonsalves are the two. Janet D’souza is fielded against the late Pramod Mahajan’s daughter Poonam . Neither of the bot h had any working experience in Congress party, Their only criteria is that both are Christians.

The list was submitted to Sonia Maino early this month and their Madam was prompt to accept two without much discussion with local congress leaders.

Though the Christian appeasement of Congress is well known Christian Council secretary John Dayal laments that  “Christians have always been sidelined in the Congress because of the Christian background of its president. Scared that the RSS would link any Christian leader’s rise in the power hierarchy to that background, many Christian leaders have been deliberately kept low-key’’
