6 Security Personnels and 1 gardener killed in the attack, 18 others injured.

Yes, 6 Security Personnels sacrificed their life to protect our temple of democracy and the MP’s and Ministers inside the Parliament.

December 16 2002 – An Year after

The Special POTA court convicted three of the four accused – Syed Abdul Rehman Geelani, Shuakat Hussein Guru and Mohammed Afzal.

The fourth accused, Afsan Guru/Navjot Sandhu, wife of Shaukat Hussain Guru, was convicted on the lesser charge of concealing knowledge of the conspiracy .

December 18, 2002

Court awarded death penalty to Afzal, Shaukat and Mr. Geelani, while sentencing Ms. Afsan Guru to five-year imprisonment.

October 29, 2003

On appeal, the High Court  upheld the death penalty to Afzal and Shaukat but acquitted Mr. Geelani and Ms. Afsan Guru.

August 4, 2005

The Supreme Court upheld the Delhi High Court judgment acquitting S.A.R. Geelani and Afsan Guru.

And regarding Afsal Guru Court told – “The collective conscience of the society will be satisfied only if death penalty is awarded to Mohd. Afzal.”

Afzal was scheduled to death sentence on 20 October 2006

An India Today poll in late October showed that 78% of Indians supported the death penalty for Afzal – But who cares for the ‘Collective Conscience of the Nation’ ?

After 4 years Congress Government in New Delhi awakes all of a sudden and forwards the file backing the death sentence to Delhi Lt Governor Tajendra Khanna

Within Hours later – Lt Governor Tajendra Khanna has sent back the file on Afzal Guru’s mercy petition seeking more clarification from the Delhi government.

It’s time gain for all Human Right and Terrorist right group to join together and to make mockery of the justice system and the so called ‘Collective Conscience of the Nation’
