Indonesia, 19th June – ‘World Hindu Summit’ which commenced from 13th June at Denpasar, Bali concluded on the 17th June after taking many important decisions. These decisions include forming a unity of Hindus at the world level along with the establishment of ‘World Hindu Council’, propagation of Hindu culture, and instilling the importance of Hindu scriptures at the world level. This Summit was organised by the Government of Bali in Indonesia, Indonesia Hindu Dharma Council, Bali Rural Cultural Council, Gurukul Council and Indonesia Ashram Council.            On the second day of the ‘World Hindu Summit’, Hindu leaders who had arrived from different parts of the world addressed the gathering discussing and guiding the attendees on the problems faced by Hindus at the world level and remedial measures thereon. On this occasion Dr Prof. Medbhakta, President of the managing committee of ‘World Hindu Summit’ declared that efforts will be made through the medium of the Summit to improve the reputation of Hindus at the world level. Hindus do not have an independent economic system. Shri. Sanjeev Svahane said that it is necessary to establish a separate financial infrastructure, meaning, a Hindu Bank for Hindus.
In the Convention, Pujya Dr Charudatta Pingale, National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti guided the attendees about the supremacy of Hindu Dharma, efforts to preserve Hindu culture, and need for Hindus to abide by Dharma. He said, “Hindu Dharma prescribes four Purushartha (Basic pursuits of life) as Dharma (Righteousness), Artha (Prosperity), Kama (Pleasure), and Moksha (Final Liberation). The life-style of Westerners depends only on Artha, Kama, and partly Dharma. The concept of Moksha is absent in all religions except Hindu Dharma. As a result, dominance of pleasure- seeking and greed increases, which ultimately leads to unhappiness. Presently human life has become very unhappy due to acquiescence of Western culture. In Western countries, 50% of population need psychological treatment sometime or the other in life. They have no other alternative. On the contrary, as per a saying ‘megKemÙe cet}b Oece&: I meaning, the source of happiness is abiding by Hindu Dharma. As a result, many individuals overseas have now turned to Hindu philosophy such as, vegetarian diet, meditation, Yoga, Pranayam, Ayurved etc. and their life is turning happy because of this. Therefore, Hindus spread all over the world should abide by Dharma by realising ‘The source of happiness is abiding by Hindu Dharma.â€
