3100 Temples Destroyed in Bangladesh in 6 Months: Reports

published on June 29, 2014

The President of Bangladesh Minority watch Adv Rabeendra Ghosh has revealed that a total of 3100 temples have been ravaged in the country in the last 6 months, where 1690 vigrahas have been destroyed. The figures were revealed during the Third All India Hindu Convention at Vidyadhiraja Hall in Ramnath Temple, Goa.

“The current scenario in Bangladesh is unbearable for Hindus to survive. The existing 2900 families are being subjected to horrendous tortures on a regular basis. Since Bangladesh was part of undivided India, once upon a time, there are sentimental values, which make it difficult for many to think of abandoning the country and coming over. During the time of independence, Bangladesh had around 39% Hindus. However that has now reduced to a mere paltry 9.46%,” pointed out Dr Ghosh.

“When Hindus in another part of the world are being attacked, there is hardly any protest anywhere. However, when a false alarm of some mishap on Muslims of Myanmar was circulated, Muslims in India revolted, where Hindus lost their lives too,” said Adv Sanjeev Punlekar.

“The Hindu community must be tutored in the art of self defence, in case of any riots. The terror groups of Muslim countries like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are targeting India and are make very sharp moves about the same, which is why it is essential that Indians must learnt the art of self defence,” said Paras Rajput of Hindu Helpline, Mumbai.
