Jewish Holocaust, a myth, according to Iranian President

via HK published on December 14, 2005

Triggering a new controversy in the global community, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that the  Jewish Holocaust was a myth .Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the comments to thousands of people during a speech in Iran’s south-eastern city of Zahedan. He had previously expressed doubts about the murder of the Jews by the Nazis, but today was the first time he said publicly that the Holocaust was a myth.He is the same president who said Israel should be “wiped off the map”.

Many of the world nations including the US, Germany, European union, and Israel condemned his comments.Israel foreign ministry spokesman Mark Regev said, ” the repeated outrageous remarks of the Iranian president show clearly the mindset of the ruling clique in Tehran and indicate clearly the extremist policy goals of the regime.”

However, here in India, no one expects the UPA government to comment as they already got stiff warnings from their ally CPM during the recent Iran nuclear issue and also as there are only few Jews left in India, they are a political non-entity. So, the ruling Congress party also will not dare to issue any comments for the fear of losing minority vote bank.
