J-K temples on terror target

Jammu, March 8: Security has been tightened across temples in Jammu and Kashmir after intelligence agencies warned of a terror threat at the religious places in the state.

According to intelligence inputs, terrorists have threatened to blow up temples in Jammu and Kashmir if the Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru is not released.

The famous Vaishno Devi shrine and Raghunath temple are being seen as major terror targets. The administration has tightened security arrangements and is taking all precautions to preserve the holy places in the state.

IG police, Jammu Zone, Dr. SP Vaidya said that the terrorists will not be allowed to succeed in their aim of spreading communal discord.
