Evangelist Anchor from FOX News insults 1 billion Hindus

published on December 14, 2009

Hindu leaders in the US on Monday, December 14 protested what they consider an insensitive remark by a TV commentator on Fox News. The host, Glenn Beck had described the Ganges as a ‘disease’. This Glenn Beck was formerly a drunk addict who proclaims to have been “SAVED” by JESUS CHRIST……..How convenient…..

Hindu groups in the US admonished Beck and reprimanded the Fox Network saying that such remarks are hurtful to the devotees of the Hindu community. The Universal Society of Hinduism has urged Fox and its owner News Corporation to be more sensitive when handling faith related subjects. The group pointed out that Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world and should not be ridiculed or taken lightly.

In a letter to Fox News, Rajan Zed from the Universal Society of Hinduism said, “The ganga is sacred to one billion Hindus worldwide and such remarks were very hurtful to the devotees. Besides apparently denigrating the religion, it was belittling the entire community.”

There’s been no apology yet from Glenn Beck or Fox News.

In a news segment titled, “This is the best America has to offer?” Beck said, “You know that one big river they have there, that sounds like a disease. Come on it does. I mean if somebody said, I am sorry, you have a really bad case of Ganges.”

A PETITION ASKING GLENN BECK AND RUPERT MURDOCH TO PUBLICLY APOLOGISE IS BEING STARTED…..1 BILLION HINDUS WILL NOT SIT QUIETLY AND LISTEN TO THE RANTINGS OF AN ADDICTED CHRISTIAN PSYCHO………..AND ITS BACKERS……
