200 security personnel donate blood in Jammu
JAMMU: Over 200 officers and jawans of Uniform Force have donated blood for medical institutions in the state at Reasi Garison in Udhampur district, a defence spokesman .
Major General Vinay Bhatnagar led the team of officers as the first donor at the blood donation camp, which was organised in the Reasi Garison on the occasion of fifth raising day of UF yesterday, he said.
The 200 pints of blood was collected by teams of Jammu Medical College Hospital, Red Cross Society of Jammu and military hospitals of Jammu and Rajouri, he said.
The blood donation camp was conducted by administrative branch of UF, the spokesman said adding the Red Cross Society awarded a blood donation certificate and a badge to each donor.
