World Hindu Conference – III

via Vishwa Hindu Parishad published on November 12, 2006

You will be pleased to know that Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is organizing the World Hindu Conference III  (WHC – III) from February 11-13, 2007 at the Triveni Sangam in Prayag (Allahabad, U.P), India. This period is especially auspicious because it coincides with “Ardha Kumbha”. Moreover February 13, 2007 happens to be the 101st Birthday of Pujyaneeya Shree Guruji (M.S. Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghachaalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) who was the prime motivator, inspirer and founder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in 1964. His extraordinary vision, his tireless efforts and his supreme dedication to spend each moment of his life for the causes of Hindu society were also responsible for the global growth of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. This World Hindu Conference would, therefore, provide an appropriate concluding tribute to Shree Guruji’s birth centenary celebrations held in different parts of the world this year. Vishwa Hindu Parishad also organized the previous two World Hindu Conferences: the first in January 1966 and the second in January 1979.

Today’s Hindu Society, particularly in Bhaarat and surrounding countries, faces numerous problems. Increasing terrorism, on-going cultural invasion unethical conversions, threats of secession and further division of the country are few examples. The misappropriation of the Real Estates of temples and their priests are in bad shape. The cow-slaughter continues unabated in many states despite legal ban on such slaughters because of the poor implementation of the laws by the Government. The dream of building a beautiful temple at Ram Janma Bhoomi still remains unfulfilled and Shri Ramlala continues to be housed in a small hut. Under such circumstances, Vishwa Hindu Parishad has resolved to hold this Hindu Conference with a view to awaken the Hindu society and rekindle its self confidence so that Hindus can truly understand and assert their collective power in re-establishing Hindu values of life in Bhaarat.

Accordingly, the conference theme has been chosen to be Yato DharmasTato Jayah meaning: “where there is Dharma, there is Victory.”

On this occasion Vishwa Hindu Parishad International will like to host special sessions of all the delegates coming from different countries to deliberate on the following subjects very relevant to their needs:

1.      Hindu Identity and the importance of Hindu cultural experiences for international youth community

2.     The role of Global Hindus in repositioning India among the leaders of the world.

The International delegates will have an opportunity to deliberate on the following Global Hindu Agenda during the conference and chart out the future course of action.

?      Agenda 1: Global Hindu Youths and future generations of       Hindus

o       Goal: WHC to be able to provide the necessary global network to support personal, family and social life of Hindus

?      Agenda 2: Global Hindu Heritage Education

o       Goal: WHC to be able to become the resource center to provide authentic educational materials to Hindus

?      Agenda 3: Status of Hindu Communities

o       Goal: WHC to be able to collect & disburse accurate information about Hindu issues, as well as collected and disburse resources to help Hindus in trouble

?      Agenda 4: Hindu human Rights

o       Goal: WHC to be able to take up the issues of Hindu Human Rights violations to the appropriate government and international agencies dealing with human rights violations.

?      Agenda 5: Raising Community Awareness for Hindu Identity

o       Goal: One of the most important goals for WHC is to make every Hindu feel proud of his/her Hindu Heritage (Hindu Paramparaa)

?      Agenda 6: Religion Conversions

o       Goal: WHC to be able to work with the Hindu community to provide necessary support to avoid being the victims of their ignorance or helplessness.

Participation of at least 200,000 people from all areas of Bhaarat representing all Indian languages, religious traditions/practices, sects, castes and sub-castes including leaders in religious, social, business and other walks of life is targeted. Attempts are also being made to have at least 1000 NRI/PIO Hindus from 100 major cities of the world to attend the conference. The conference would be a unique, perhaps once in a life time, opportunity to meet, interact and collectively think about the Global Hindu issues as well as hear some accomplished Hindu world leaders at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj at the time of Ardha Kumbha. We strongly urge you to make plans and participate in this conference and make your unique contributions to awakening of our society.
