WHC– III; Important Information
Venue:
The Conference venue will be the Ardh Kumbha Mela Zone on the Bank of Ganga at Prayagraj. The Conference venue is at a distance about 10 kms from the Allahabad Junction Railway Station and from the Airport conference venue is about 15 kms
Inaugural Session for the Overseas Delegates Meet will be on February 10th 2007 at 4:00 pm and for World Hindu Conference – III Inaugural Session will be on February 11th 2007 at 11:00 am. Please arrive latest by February 10th morning in Allahabad
Fees:
$ 75.00 per couple and $ 40.00 per child over 15 yrs.
For Caribbean countries, Mauritius, Thailand and Fiji Fees will be $ 25.00 per person
For Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia – also – Foreign Students Studying in India: IRs. 100.00 Per person
Children below 15 yrs will be free
Registration & ID Card:
Registration desk will be at the venue and at the accommodation places. As soon as you arrive please make sure to register yourself and receive the Identity Card. This is strictly for the security purposes and for your convenience/safety. Without an ID Card you may experience hassle at all the points of the venue
Registration fees include the accommodation in the tent at Sammelan Nagar. If you are accommodating your self in the Hotel then the delegates will pay the tariff
Accommodation:
Before and after the conference, you are free to select your own accommodations. Delegates will be provided an accommodations only during February 10, 11, 12, 13, 2007
We will be having our own Sammelan Nagar in the City of Tents on the bank of Ganga. Sammelan Nagar will house 200,000 delegates in the tents. Within the Nagar, we are planning to have at least 500 special wooden-rooms. We would prefer if all the delegates stay in the Sammelan Nagar
Three (3) star Hotels like: Hotel Kanha Shyam Allahabad with moderate facilities are available in Prayag. Average rates for single occupancy Rs. 2100.oo and for double occupancy Rs. 2400.00. Triple occupancy is not applicable. Hotel offers airport transport, renting car service etc. Please try to book yourself through Internet as soon as possible
If you are accommodating your self in the Hotel then the delegates will pay the tariff.
Transportations:
Allahabad is well connected by trains from New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkota, Chennai and other cities and by airlines it is connected from New Delhi and Kolkota. If you travel by train then, Please make sure you are getting down only at Allahabad Railway Junction. Reception committee members will be at the Station and at the airport to welcome and to guide you all. All the local conveyance charges will be bare by the delegates
Health:
Those who take medicines regularly, please make sure you carry your medicines sufficient for your traveling time. Primary health care facility will be available at the site. Very old and seriously sick persons may avoid to attend the conference
Meals:
Strictly Vegetarian meals will be served or will be available from the vendors at the subsidized rate
At the entire site, there will be total prohibition of Smoking, chewing gum/tobacco products and alcoholic drinks
Temperature:
During the day, maximum temperature may be 29 Celsius / 84 F. and during the night and early morning it may go down up to 12 Celsius/55 F. Delegates should come prepared with warm clothes, sweaters, shawls, Cap, if possible blankets etc…
Programs:
It is advisable that you participate in all the plenary sessions. Since you have come from the distance try to be a witness and get advantage of historical astonishing experience of this mammoth’s confluence of the World Hindu Conference – III
Tours:
We are not planning to have any intended tours for sight seeing. Though information about the same will be available at the Venue
Just for your information, there are many pilgrimage cities around Allahabad. From Allahabad: Kashi (Banaras) is 120 kms; Chitrakoot is also 120 kms; Ayodhya is 170 kms; Gorakhpur is an overnight journey by train; and the ancient twin cities – Bodhgaya and Gaya are 6 hours of Train ride. Sarnath is only 7 kms from Banaras
Others:
Since you have to walk a lot, kindly make sure that you will have bare minimum items with you – travel light. Also, do not carry any valuables, jewelries or excess cash. There will be no closets and/or Bank Lockers available in the Sammelan Nagar
Please bring your necessity items with you e.g. sneakers, soap, bath towel, napkins, tooth paste, Tooth brush, toiletries, medicines, comb/brush, shaving kits, torch, pen/pencil, note book etc…
