Vedavacaspati award to Acharya M.R.Rajesh

Acharya M.R.Rajesh, the head of Kasyapa Veda Research Foundation, has been awarded with Vedavacaspati puraskar by Njeralathu Kalasramam, Angadippuram,Kerala for his relentless service to the humanity in propagating Vedas irrespective of cast and gender. This is the first time an irreligious institution giving award to a Vedic scholar. The award presented to him by noted film director Lal Jose in a function held at Njeralathu Kalasramam, Kalyanippara, Angadippuram. The award comprise of a cash prize of Rs.10,000/ certificate and a memento.

‘Njeralathu Rama Poduval is a man who popularised the art form called ‘Sopana Sangeetham’ taking it out of the temple. This was a revolution during his period. The very same revolution taking place in Kerala with hands of Acharya M.R.Rajesh in propagating the knowledge of Vedas irrespective of cast, creed and gender. Hence he is selected for the award’, Kalashramam managing trustee Njeralathu Harigovindan said.
