KANNUR: Closing their eyes to the rapid growth of Muslim extremist forces, which are posing a grave threat to the nation, the Congress led UDF and Cpi-M led LDF are holding frequent yatras in Kerala to come to power conveniently, Bharatiya Vichara Kendra Director P Parameshwaran said.

He was addressing a gathering after the RSS sponsored ‘Rashtriya Raksha Sanjalanam (route march) from Bekal fort in Kasaragod on Jan 5, arrived here this evening.

Parameswaran said that both the Congress and CPI(M) were ‘tactically’ dividing the majority Hindu community to appease the minorities and gain extra votes to come to power.

“Today, society is under the grip of the US sponsored globalised economy and are facing all-round degeneration of values, dragging people to lead a consumeristic way of life, even as the market economy has helped Muslim extremist forces economically, technically and even spiritually by getting unbriddled flow of foreign funds,’ he said.

The rally will conclude at Thiruvananthapuram on Republic day. The yatra is being undertaken by the RSS to ‘protect and preserve the integrity of the nation’.
