‘Tyagaraja Aradhana’ begins at Kalpathy

PALAKKAD: The Carnatic music festival organised as part of the 163rd Aradhana Mahotsavam of Sadguru Sri Tyagaraja Swamikal began at Kalpathy here on Saturday. The Tyagaraja Aradhana got under way with a Timiri concert by Sivadas Guruvayur. It was followed by a vocal concert by T.M. Krishna. T.H. Subramanian was on the violin and Trichy Sankaran on the mridangam.Yesterday, the vocal concert is by Prasanthi of Chennai, followed by a concert by Trichy Ganesan. Biju S. Anand will be on the violin, Parassala Ravi on the mridangam and Karthi on the ganjira
