Thousands offer bali in state

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thousands of people across the state today performed the ‘Vavubali’ ritual to propitiate departed souls on the occasion of ‘Karkitaka Vavu.’ Men and women turned up in large numbers at beaches and river banks to perform the rites praying for peace for departed souls.
