Thanka Anki procession begins

The Thanka Anki procession to Sabarimala started from Aranmula Parthasarathy temple on Sunday. The Thanka Anki, which was offered by the Travancore king to lord Ayyapa, will reach Pampa on December 26 after reaching several temples enroute.

There was a heavy rush of devotees when the Thanka Anki procession began at the temple in the morning. The Thanka Anki will be put on lord Ayyappa during the Mandala festival at Sabarimala.

On reaching Sabarimala sannidhanam, the chief priest and the tantri will receive the Thanka Anki and put on lord Ayyappa.
