Swamy Parameshwarananda Saraswathi attained Samadhi

Thiruvananthapuram:Swamy Parameshwarananda Saraswathi (89) (formerly Sadhuseelan Parameshwaran Pillai) attained Samadhi here at Irunilam Kotta JnanaKudeeram.

Parameswaran Pillai who left Kerala in search of truth later joined Arya Samaj and Swamiji had personal connections with great hindu leaders like Veer Savarkar, Dr. Hedgewar, Gandhiji, Subhash Chandra Bose, Raveendranath Tagore Swami Abedanand Maharaj,
Veerarajananda Swamikal etc are the few among them.Swamiji was arrested by British forces for taking part in Freedom struggle.

Swamiji reached Kerala as a Hindu Missionary of Akhila Bharatha Hindu Dharma Sangham. From 1957 to 1962 Swamiji was the Editor of the only Nationalistic Weekly of Kerala – ‘Kesari’.Swamiji was instrumental in early Temple protection movements under K .Kelappan and in the cow protection movements of 1950’s.

Swamiji was born in 1924 August 14 in Mudhak, Thiruvananthapuram. Sadhu Seelan Parameswaran Pillai took Sanyasa Deeksha at the age  of 60 from Swami Janananda saraswathi.

Hindu Dharma Parichayam, Shodasakarmangal, Kanyakumari muthal Kapilavasthu Varae etc are the main books authored by the great soul.Swamiji received Janmashtami Puraskar in 2005 and Swami Sidhinadananda Puraskar in 2005.Swamiji’s Samadhi is a is a great loss to hindu awakening movements.
