Sasthra Sadassu at Sanskrit College

TRIPUNITHURA: The Government Sanskrit College here is readying for the annual Sanskrit scholars’ meet, Sasthra Sadassu.

The century-old scholars’ meet is being organised to discuss and share the latest trends and experiments in the Vedic language.

This year’s Sasthra Sadassu will begin at the Sanskrit College auditorium on December 26. Eminent Sanskrit Scholar R. Vasudevan Potty will inaugurate the Sadassu at 10 a.m.

There will be special competitions like recitation and Sanskrit quiz. Separate competitions will be held for schools and college going students.

Poornathrayi, a special edition of the official journal of the Sanskrit College, will be released by R.Vasudevan Potty by giving the first copy to V.Ramakrishna Bhatt. Sanskrit Scholar Krishnakumar will also participate.

Gurupooja will be held On December 28 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Punnasseri Nambi Neelakanta Sharma.

Irinjalakuda Natanakairalli will perform Abhijnana Shakunthalam koodiyattom. The sadassu will conclude on December 29.
