Sabarimala temple opens

The Lord Ayyappa Temple here was opened on Saturday for the five-day monthly pooja. Melsanthi M Sukumaran Namboodiri opened the sanctum sanctorum at 5.30 pm. The five-day monthly pooja will begin with Thanthri Kandararu Rajeevaru performing the Ganapathi Homam on Sunday. The special rituals, Pushpabhishekam, Udayasthamana Pooja and Padipooja will be performed on all the five days. The Kalabhabhishekam will be performed on September 18 and 20. Laksharchana will be on September 21. And the temple will be closed after the Athazhapooja on 21st. |
