Sabarimala temple festival ends

Sabarimala: The 10-day long festival of the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple came to a close on Sunday with the “Arattu” function held at the Pampa river. The Arattu procession started from the sanctum sanctorium at around 9am and reached Pampa by 11am . The chief priest and the Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru led the ceremonies at Pampa and by 3 pm the Arattu procession went back to the temple. The temple was filled with chanting of mantras and was full of devotees during the closing ceremony.
