Sabari Saranasramam serve thousands of Ayyappa Devotees

PATHANAMTHITTA : Sabari Saranasramam serve thousands of Ayyappa devotees during this Mandala / Makaravilakku season. On daily basis thousands of Ayyappa devotees visited Sabari Saranasramam center and had free Annadanam and enjoyed other facilities offered there. It started from Vrichikam 1 and ended now after Makaravilakku. Day and night devotees were flowing into the center and taking relief from it. The first aid medical facilities offered by the center was also useful and more than 3500 devotees benefited out of it. In some cases the Asramam had to take the devotees to the nearest hospital in their own Ambulance for higher treatment. Aambulance service was used also for carrying dead body (from Sabarimala to Devotee’s home town) of one devotee who was killed by wild elephant. Certain highlights of this season are

1) Devaswom Minister Sri Kadannappilli Ramachandran visited Sabari Saranasramam and expressed happiness in the activities of the center.

2) Sri Kodikkunnuil Suresh, Member of Parliament also visited the center and expressed his satisfaction

3) The support from the local community was very much and they helped us very well in serving the devotees. There was a bhaktha sangamam involving local people and Singer Vijayan (of Jaya/Vijayan brothers) was chief guest in the function.

4) Sabari Saranasramam were blessed with the presence of “Thanka Anki” in the Project site”. “Thanka Anki” along with the devotees accompanying it halted at our kendra for some time and it was really an exciting moment for the volunteers.

5) Similarly “Edathavalams” and “Annadana centers” were arranged under the banner of “Ayyppa Seva Samajam” in 50 centers across Andrapradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala (like Erumely, Chottanikkara, Guruvayoor, Triprayar etc etc) and thousands of devotees were benefited from these centers.

All these were made possible by dedication and support of devotees. As we know, the trust were functioning under a semi permanent structure during this season and it is the time now to start planning for building as per the Master Plan prepared by “Directors of Aranmula Vasthu Vidya Peedom and Sri. Kanippayyur Krishnan Namboothiri”.

We are sure that with the blessing from Swami Ayyappa and support from devotees, the trust will be able to move further on this in the immediate future.
