MALAPPURAM: ‘Jnanapana Acharasadas’, a commemoration programme paying tribute to the contribution of poet Poonthanam Namboodiri began on the Angadi puram Thirumandham kunnu Devi temple premi-ses on Thursday.

Sreedevi Antharjanam inaugurated the four-day programme.

VHP vice president Kum manam Rajasekharan, who delivered the keynote address in the function, said the revolution is possible only through devotion. No ordinance or bill can change the mind of human beings unless moral values have been spread,” Kum manam said.

A blueprint with suggestions to establish a temple art learning centre at the Poontahanam Illam was also released.

The blueprint includes suggestions for starting a study centre at the Illam for learning Indian literature and a space to exhibit the belo ngings left behind by the poet. P. Kadamban Nam boodiri, N.M. Kadamban Nambodiripad, and Dr.N.P. Vijayakrishnan were present.
