New Jersey: The recently held Malayali Hindu Satsang in New Jersey has sought titling of Nedumbassery International Airport in Adi Sankara’s name, “the seer being the most distinguished of Indian births, whose name and fame stands unparalleled among Malayali births.”

Enumerating the contributions made by Shankaracharya, the Satsang hailed him as “the most venerated of Malayali births, whose contribution to the unity, culture and Dharma of Bharat stands priceless.”

“Adi Sankara’s birth place Kalady is just near Kochi International Airport in Nedumbassery. Considering this aspect, the airport should be named after Adi Shankara,” opined the Satsang.
