Ranni Hindu meet from Feb 17
PATHANAMTHITTA: The 62nd Ranni Hindu meet, organised jointly by Ranni Taluk Haindava Seva Samithi and the Ranni Central Ayyappa Seva Sangham, will be held on the sand-bed of the Pampa at Sree Dharma Sastha Nagar in Ranni from February 17 to 24.
Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, Haindava Seva Samithi president Neelakandan Nampoothiri, P A Balakrishna Pillai and V K Rajagopal said that the meet would be inaugurated by noted Carnatic music director V Dakshinamurthi at 4 pm on February 17.
Former judge of Kerala High Court Justice K Narayana Kurup would preside over the function. Swami Vedananda Saraswathi would deliver the benedictory address. Lawyer of Kerala High Court Govinda Bharathan would deliver the key-note address.
The debate on Sabarimala pilgrimage to be held at 5 pm on February 18 would be inaugurated by former minister R Balakrishna Pillai.
Cultural meet, Bhagavat Gita meet, Ayyappadharma meet, acharya meet and women’s meet would be the other main events of the convention. The valedictory function would be inaugurated by M P Veerendrakumar MP at 4.30 pm on February 24.
