Pitru pooja on Mahasivaratri day

published on March 9, 2013

Indian customs and rituals are meant for psychological, physiological, family relation and social bondage based benefits. These customs and rituals  focus on the national integration also.  One such ritual is the Pitru pooja  or pitru karma. On the top of it we should know that  it  is meant for  psychological benefit of the individuals and family members deriving through strengthening family relations connecting  the past generation and present generations. It may  or may not be directly linked with the moksha of our forefathers. Our aim should be to make our life and that of our relatives   divine and heavenly on this earth,  through these customs and rituals, if they have faith in doing so.

We, in  Mazhuvanchery Mahadeva Temple, National Heritage Centre, will be performing the Pitru pooja explaining its scientific meanings and messages on 10th March during sivaratri day from 6.00 am till 11.15 am,   one hr each program  . If you feel it worth and good you and your family members are invited to participate.  It is the vedic message linked with the  pitru pooja which is more important and hence direct participationis welcomes.

The program will be guided by Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan.
