Cherukolpuzha: Bharatheeya culture is not some thing one should consider as a decoration and keep it in a showcase, rather it is something each of us should cherish , practice and protect- reminded Bharatheeya Vicharakendram Director P Parameswaran during his inaugural speech of cultural meet as part of Cherukolpuzha Hindu Meet.

Culture is not something which can be read in a book but it’s feeling one should experience by practicing it in their day to day life. No matter how much advanced or sacred is a culture, If there is no one to practice or protect it from the dangers it will be extinct in due course of time. There won’t be a culture if there is no society and for a society to live a geographical area is needed. That geographical area needs to be secured and should be kept free of enemies inorder to practice one’s own culture with freedom.

In Bharath our eternal Dharma is still prevailing mainly because of two reasons. One , there is a huge society who had belief and trust in Sanathana Dharma and passed on to generation to generation by practicing it. Secondly there were always a section of warriors and administrators who had protected Sanathana Dharmis.

Bharath was not made as a Religious Nation, But from the strength of the foundation stones of a great culture. The irony is that ,those very people who termed Bharath as a Secular Nation is now running around to provide Religion based reservation. Secularism in Bharath has reduced to mere appeasement of certain religions ignoring the majority.

Today Hindus are marginalised in all sectors, Instead pointing fingers within ourselves as Nairs, Ezhavas, SC-ST and so on the Hindu is not realising that the final loss is to our Dharma and Parameswarji hoped that this Hindu Convention will be marked as a milestone in the growth of Hindu Renaisance happening in Kerala.

Parameswarji released ‘HarithaRadhya’book written by Gopalakrishnan Nair on the vegetarian way of life on the occasion. The first copy was handed over to Advocate T N Upendranath Kuruppu . Pala Vidyadhiraja Sevashramam Madathipathi Swami Abhayananda Theerthapadar presided todays meet. Renowned Poet Professor V Madusoodanann Nair ,Gopalakrishnan Nair Professor T N Ramakrishna Kuruppu and Professor N P Sankaranarayana Pillai addressed the meet.
