GURUVAYUR: The 421st anniversary of Narayaneeyam will be celebrated at the Sree Krishna temple here on December 14.
It was on Vrischikom 28, 1586 AD that Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri completed Narayaneeyam and offered it at the feet of Sree Guruvayurappan.
The Guruvayur Devaswom observes the day as Narayaneeyam Day.
The Narayaneeya Sapthaham being held in connection with the Narayaneeyam Day celebrations began at here on December 6.
Vaidyalinga Sharma is the acharyan. It will conclude on December 13.
