Move to regain Chattambi Swamikal Birth place gaining Momentum

Thiruvananthapuram: Sree Vidyadhiraja Youth Forum has called upon the government to take over the birthplace of Sree Vidyadhiraja Chattambi Swamikal at Kannammoola in Thiruvananthapuram.Youth Forum general secretary Panmana Manjesh expressed protest over the move to level the 17 cents of land at Kannammoola using bulldozer by an IPS Officer who bought this controversial land.  

Under the Action Council formed under Chattamby Swamy Janma Sthana Samrakshana Samithy  , locals were waging continued protest to liberate birth place of Chattambi Swamikal from the hands of few vested interested people and to get an appropriate memorial at the spot.

This small plot of 17 cents of land, once called Kunnumpurath, was where Swamikal was born and later taken over by the powerful and rich Thampi family when the mother of Chattamby Swamikal got in to debt with the Thampis. There were efforts to sabotage the efforts by public by propagating that the place is not the birth place of Swamiji  

A Committee appointed by the state government, as ordered by the Court, comprising of S/Shri A Sreedhara Menon, S Guptan Nair, Puthussery Ramachandran and others had unanimously declared that the site is the birth place of Chattambi Swamikal.

IPS Officer Sandhya, Should respect the sentiments of Thousands of people who reveres swamiji as one of the greatest son of Kerala  and hold appropriate  discussions with the Action Council and take steps to  hand over it to Swamiji’s followers .
