GURUVAYUR: A unique and century-old miniature edition of Srimad Bhagavad Gita was offered to Sree Guruvayurappan here on Thursday.

Pingala Rajagopal, hailing from Chandranagar, Palakkad, made the offering and handed over the book to devaswom administrator V Ratheesan at Sree Krishna temple.

According to Rajagopal, the book was used by his ancestors. He is not sure about how old it is.

The tiny Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit, with 2.5 cm length, 1. 75 cm width and 1 cm thickness, contains verses from Manusmrithi, Vishnu Sahasranamam and Gajendra Moksham. The verses can be read with the help of the lens fixed on the tiny box which contains the edition.
