Mahaganapathy yagam concludes

KOCHI: The Sri Mahaganapathy Viswa Mahayagam concluded at Ernakulathappan Hall here on Sunday. Many devotees took part in the yagam which started at 3 a m.

One lakh and eight coconuts were used for the Ashtadravya Homam performed in the yagasalav. Special poojas were performed under 13 main priests of the yagam.

DIG Raman Srivasthava, DIG Ravada Chandrasekhar, singer Kavalam Sreekumar and actor Janardhanan were present at the venue.

Sooryan Jayasuryan Bhattathiripad of Suryakalady Mana was the yajnacharya. “All devotees who took part in the yaga will get the blessings of Lord Ganesha,” he said.

K Senthilnathan was the general convenor of the Sri Mahaganapathy Viswa Mahayaga Samithi. Harisree Sivananda Chaithanya, patron of the samithi, advocate S Soman, president, Jayan Kadalundi, secretary, were in charge of the proceedings at the yagasala.
