BJP state president Kummanam Rajashekharan visited the home of Professor TJ TV Joseph, the victim of Jihadi violence on Monday. Prof Joseph, retired teacher of Newman College Thodupuzha faced days of terror when his right palm was chopped off by PFI-SDPI jihadists under allegations of having defamed Prophet Mohammed.

“One needs indomitable grit and courage to continue living, at a time when those in administration who should be shielding victims, switch  sides and stand by the very perpetrators of crime. And Professor Joseph has shown that courage.”

A visibly overwhelmed Professor Joseph said that “it was indeed an honour to receive prop and support from well intentioned, enlightened souls like Kummanam,” adding that Vimochana Yatra, had become synonymous with being the voice of those who had been denied justice.
