Krishnageethi awards
KOZHIKODE: Poet Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri and Krishnanattom exponent P Damodaran Nair will be awarded the Krishnageethi awards as part of the Revathi Pattathanam festival to be inaugurated on Tuesday.
The awards consists of a statuette of Lord Krishna, a certificate and Rs 5,001. Zamorin Raja Manavedan Raja will present the awards. The function will be inaugurated by Corporation Mayor M Bhaskaran at the Guruvayoorappan Hall of the Tali Zamorins Higher Secondary School.
Swami Adhyatmananda, Chinmaya Mission will be the Chief Guest for the day. As part of the programmes, A Pradeep Kumar MLA will release the souvenir. Students who topped in the Sanskrit competitions held in connection with the Revathi Pattathanam will be given prizes as part of the function. Eminent personalities from the field will give discourses in the fest.
