THRISSUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his two-day visit to Kerala today. Making his first public appearance in the state as the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will address a BJP public meeting at Thekkinkad Maidan on Monday. Nearly two lakh people are expected to attend the public meeting. After the meeting, PM Modi will return to Kochi and stay there.

PM Modi will also visit the Sivagiri Mutt and pay homage at the samadhi of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru and offer floral tributes and plant a sapling.

Modi will unveil the statue of former Kerala Chief Minister late R Sankar, a visionary who sow the seeds of Hindu unity in Kerala by forming Hindu Maha Mandalam along with NSS leader Mannathu Padmanabhan to counter the minority politics prevailed in Kerala. He will then proceed to Sarada mutt in the Sivagiri campus and address the public for a few minutes.

PM Modi will then return to Delhi via Thiruvananthapuram airport by 5.15 PM .
