Keralam , All set to welcome Ramayana Month

Hindus in Kerala are all set to welcome Ramayana Month .Ramayana Month which begins from 1st of Karkkidakam- Malayalam month -July 16th and ends on August 16th.


 

In almost all Hindu families one will recite
Adhyatma Ramayanam Kilippattu
written by Father of Malayalam language
Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthachan
and other members will listen in to it.


 

Elaborate arrangements are made in the temples to read Ramayana and preach the divine message to lead an ideal life across the state during this month.


 

In Central Kerala Nalambala Darsanam – Pilgrimage to four Temples dedicated to Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Bharatha and Shatrugna in one day is considered auspicious.
Nalambala Darsanam’ involves offering prayers at the Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple, Moozhikkulam Lakshmana Temple, Irinjalakuda Koodalmanikyam Temple for Bharathan and Payammal Shathrughna temple.
