Kanchi seer opens Vedic school

Palakkad: Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Jayendra Saraswati, inaugurated a new building of the Veda Pathasala at Ramanathapuram village near here on Wednesday. Several vedic scholars were honoured on the occasion. The Veda Pathasala was set up in 1996 at Chatapuram village near Kalpathy. The institution had been imparting vedic training to students from within and outside the State since then.

    I am very glad that the vedas will live for ever and all efforts are being made to bring vedas to a larger number of people. Hope the school really becomes a great success. I do hope opportunities are availble to people to learn sanskrit freely out of schools(since these days it has become avery difficult to even get the opportunity to learn sanskrit)
