Mata Amritananda mayi is drawing huge crowds at her darshan here from Wednesday with people from all walks of life waiting in queues for long hours to have a glimpse of her.

Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister K Karunakaran was among the major visitors who reached the Kaimanam ashram to seek blessings from Amma before leaving for Ernakulam.

Thiruvananthapuram is totally immersed in the divine embrace of Amma and the Maharaja of Thiruvananthapuram Uthradam Thirunal Marthandavarma was also one of the many visitors to Amma. The bhajans and discourse is also attracting people.

People cutting across religious beliefs are seen waiting to have a darshan and holy embrace of the Amma.

The bhajans are led by Amma herself and Swami Amritaswaroopananda Puri, the second in command of the Mata Amritanandan mayi Math.
