NEW DELHI : The politics being played in the country in the name of backwardness and appeasement of the minorities by crushing – the interests of majority Hindus is taking a fatal shape on the other hand, agents of international elements are trying to break the Hindu society on the basis of minor disparities. It is a historical fact that the weakening of Hindu society leads to the break-up and weakening of the country itself.

At this time of serious challenge to the Hindu society, the social and national thoughts of the second Sarsanghachalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Shri M.S. Golwalkar (Shri Guruji) are very relevant. This positive thinking of Shri Guruji lead to such unprecedented unity in the Hindu society that all religious leaders agreed to come to a common platform and to dive at the residence of Dom Raja at Varanasi. Today, they are visiting the areas of weaker and down-trodden sections of thee society.

In order to reach to all sections of the society and to spread the ideas and message of Shri Guruji, centenary celebration committees under the name of Shri Guruji Janmashatabdi Samiti have been set up at district, state and national levels.

In the first round, meetings are being organized at district level to strengthen social integration. In these meetings, awakened and reputed persons from various sects and communities sit together and discuss the existing social conditions and how to remove the inequalities and outdated customs from the society. Around 40 such meetings have been held in Delhi. All the eminent community leaders participating in such meetings have emphasized on regular holding of such meeting in order to promote social integration.

In the second round of the Shri Guruji centenary celebrations, seminars have been organized of intellectual categories of citizens like doctors, lawyers, writers, artists, saints, college students etc. In such seminars, burning issues like nationalism, the scientific basis and relevance of Hinduism as well as the issue of population imbalance, conversion, attacks on our culture and the challenges to our national security are being deliberated upon. Over for such seminars have been organized in Delhi by Shri Guruji Janmashabdi Samiti.

On 2nd December 2006, a national level one-day seminar is being convened in Delhi on the subject of “National Security”.

The last phase of the year-long centenary celebrations dedicated to social integration will see holding of “Vishal Hindu Sammelans” at block/nagar levels. These programmes will mainly be held between October 2006 to Feb 2007. Around 5000 Hindu Sammelans are planned throughout the country. In Delhi, 54 Hindu Sammelans have been organized so far and 100 more Sammelans will be held by 3rd December this year. Thereafter, the concluding programme of the centenary celebration will be held in Delhi on 18 Feb. 2007. All these Sammelans have been planned on the basis of one-lakh population of each of 150 nagars of the city as per the division of the city by RSS. All walks of the society are taking part in these Sammelans on their own. This spirit is evident from the programme of Kanti Nagar in East Delhi wherein 30,000 citizens participated out of around one-lakh population. Normally 5000 to 20-25 thousand people are attending such Sammelans.

The year-long centenary celebrations started from 24.02.05 at Nagpur and will conclude on 18.02.06 at Delhi.
