Grand opening to International Ayyapa Satram

Thodupuzha: Amidst Saranamayyapa Chanting , Second International Ayyappa Sathram started here yesterday. Panthalam Royal Family representative Vishakamnal Ramvarma Raja hoisted the flag and renowned Musician K G Jayan of Jaya Vijaya brothers inaugurated the holy meet by lighting Bhadradeep.
Ayyapa Vigraham from Alapuzha Pithambil temple was consecrated in the Sreekovil arranged in the venue by Sabarimala former Melshanthi Athrasseri Raman Nampoothiri.

The only way to bring back value based society is that each of us should become ‘Ayyappa’ in our life, Told Kummanam Rajasekharan. The development of Sabarimala cannot be attained by deforestation and building concrete jungles instead. To keep the sanctity of Sabarimala we should plant more and more trees instead of cutting them, Kummanam added. Ayyapa Dharma is same as Manava Dharma – In Sabarimala pilgrimage teaches that the god and the devotee is same , That is why god itself lends his own name to his devotees as well. No other slogan could influence Humanity as Ayyappa Mantra could- Told Kummanam.

Renowned Film Actor Jagathy Sreekumar, slammed Devaswom authorities for their inefficiency and failure to provide even the basic amenities for crores of Ayyappa devotees who comes to Sabarimala for a glimpse of Ayyappa. A devotee cannot go with peace of mind and free of terror to have a darsan of their deity now a days, One have to go through Metal detectors to have darsan in temples and this situation is alarming, added Jagathy Sreekumar.

Maiden Sarana Keerthi Puraskar was awarded to Musician KG Jayan by Sathra Samithi chairman K Vijayan. Swami Prabhakarananda, Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi leader Kadamban Nampoothiripadu, P N Gopalakrishnan, Swami Ayyapadas and S Padmabhushan addressed the devotees.
