Ernakulam (Kerala): Gurupournima was celebrated jointly by Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sri Balaji Dharmajagruti Samiti at S. S. Kalamandir Hall, Near T. D. Temple, Ernalulam.

Guru-Shishya tradition is the basis of Hindu Dharma. Guru dispels the ignorance in a disciple and enlightens him with knowledge. Keeping this in mind, Gurupournima is celebrated in order to offer gratitude to the Guru for all that He has done for us. The program began with the puja of Vyas Maharshi and Sadguru H. H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj. The devout Hindus who actively participate in activities for the protection of Dharma; Ms. Manjusha, a student who is doing spiritual practice at the same time, and a seeker Mr. Ajay Pingle who has attained a spiritual level of 60% through his sadhana, were felicitated on the occasion.

Every ritual in Hindu Dharma, has a scientific basis to it. A Video CD explaining the science underlying a few rituals in Hindu Dharma, was shown on the occasion.

Today our society is facing a big threat in the form of ‘Love Jihad’. Not only the lives of the girls who fall prey to this threat, but also their family as a whole is destroyed. A small play was staged, to create awareness in people about this.

On this auspicious occasion, Ms. Rashmi Parameshwaran, guided the devout Hindus on the need for establishing a Hindu Nation and on the steps needed to be taken, for the same. Terrorism, Corruption, Destruction of temples, Love Jihad, etc. are few of the many problems being faced by our Nation and Dharma. The main cause of these problems is the ‘lack of Dharmacharanam’ (i.e. not following Dharma) in people. Hence, Sanstha educates people on Dharma, Dharmacharanam, etc.

Posters, CDs and spiritual books explaining the various rituals and the science behind them, etc. were exhibited at the venue. Saints are the real protectors of Dharma. Every object that they use, gets charged with God’s chaitanya. Such objects were displayed at the venue.
