Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president Kummanam Rajashekharan has stated that certain people are trying to gain political mileage out of the unfortunate fireworks catastrophe which occurred in Kollam, at Puttungal temple. This is a very dangerous direction, he said, adding that there was no need to place a total ban on fireworks in temples, as part of festivities.
“There is no need to place a total ban on fireworks. And if such a ban comes into vogue, it would never be a plausible solution to the matter. If a catastrophe takes place in our place, it is more vital to study the factors that went to cause the same in order to ensure that similar disasters never take place in future,” he said.
