CPI(M) Attempt to Wipe Out BJP Leader & his Family

Kottayam: In an occurrence that can be termed as nothing but bestial, Marxist brutes tried to wipe out an entire family in Kumarakom panchayat, by setting their home on fire. The incident occurred at midnight when the entire family of PK Sethu was sleeping. Due to the timely intervention of Sethu’s mother and neighbours, a horrendous tragedy was averted.

The residence of Sethu, an inmate of BJP Kumarakam panchayat, ward eight, was set to flames by dousing it with petrol. The incident is said to be the furthering of an attack of vengeance by a gang of thirty Marxist goons, who had earlier battered Sethu and Jayakumar, in a bid to murder them. Both Sethu and Jayakumar are panchayat members. They were both admitted to Medical College Hospital for a brief period, after which Sethu was taking rest at home.

“Sethu had once again borne the brunt of Marxist attack, a second time, soon after he returned home from hospital,” said local sources, adding that the house was ransacked during the second attack, apart from the offensive lauched by red brigade goons. “A complaint was filed with the police by Sethu and his mother. It was at this juncture that the third attack was made.”
