KOLLAM: Art of Living will organise Mahasivarathri celebrations at Gnanakshethram here from March 3 to 6.

P.Janardhanan Pillai said Swami Soumyathej, representative of Sri Sri
Ravisankar, would lead the Maha rudhrabhisheka pooja, dhyanam and Satsang. Gurupooja and cultural activities will be held as part of the celebrations.

On March 5, the 6th anniversary of Sri Sri Vidyamandir will be held. As part of the Sivarathri celebrations, various social welfare measures will be started in the district.

Art
of Living has planned to conduct mass wedding in the district. On the
birthday of Sri Sri Ravisankar on May 13, sowing of vegetable seeds in
1 lakh houses is planned.

On August 15, saplings of Lakshmi tharu
will be planted in various centres in the district. Sri Sri Ravisankar
Learning Centre also planned to provide free education to children
living in various colonies, they said.

To promote
environmental protection, experts will speak on environmental ethics at
the Gnanakshethram in an interactive session with students and workers
of NGOs.

Riji Nair said they planned to start an institute to
provide management education in a stress-free atmosphere. In the next
one year, 10,000 people will be given training in Art of Living
courses. A counselling centre also will be opened at the Ashram.
